BacPac for Kids Program
Your donations give Black Diamond Charities the ability to provide children with BacPacs filled with school supplies. These school supplies include Crayons, Pencils, Pens, Paper, Notebooks, Scissors, Markers, Erasers and so on. In some cases Graph paper and Calculators.
A child prepared with the necessary tools for school will help to improve his/her:
- self confidence
- tests scores
- and most of all – put a smile on their faces.
Your donations give Black Diamond Charities the ability to fund the “Veterans Program”. Transitioning from Military life to Civilian life isn’t as easy as it seems. Through our program we teach a course in Project Management. The course teaches the student the tools and techniques that team members need to make the project team successful. It benefits them by helping to set goals for their transition. It also promotes motivation, confidence and leadership.
Project Management courses have been held at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Black Diamond Project Management Instructors Bill Flanagan and John Keane volunteer their time to teach this course. To date, about 50 soldiers have been in attendance for these sessions. Upon completion of the course, certificates are awarded to each student.
Each session costs about $100 per participant. So far about $5000 has been spent on “Our Veterans”. We need your help to continue this beneficial program.
